The Prom centers on Emma Nolan, a high school senior in Indiana, that just wants to take her girlfriend to prom. When the PTA catches wind of her plan, they cancel prom for all the students. Hearing about this, four fading Broadway stars, that are in desperate need of good publicity, head to Emma’s small town to help her have prom.
